Sweet Romance! This was a very short but sweet little Christmas story。 I enjoyed the relationship between Ezra and Grace and their chemistry was very cute。 If you want a short read to get you in the holiday spirit, I'd recommend this one。 Sweet Romance! And who doesn't love a good Christmas regency romance?。I love learning little bits of the traditions from that time period。 I love how relationships, romantic and platonic, are formed and strengthened at these house parties。 Which I think are the coolest, by the way。。So if you like letter, mistaken identities, shy guys, forgiveness and good friends, I'd recommend this one And who doesn't love a good Christmas regency romance?。I love learning little bits of the traditions from that time period。 I love how relationships, romantic and platonic, are formed and strengthened at these house parties。 Which I think are the coolest, by the way。。So if you like letter, mistaken identities, shy guys, forgiveness and good friends, I'd recommend this one 。。。more

Absolutely adorable! This novella was the perfect start to the winter season。 It's cute, cozy, and just the perfect amount of romance! This novella was the perfect start to the winter season。 It's cute, cozy, and just the perfect amount of romance! The characters and the story drew me in from the start。 Ezra Weston, a shy earl, has a difficult time in society。 Often saying the wrong in front of others, Ezra finds a kindred spirit in Miss Grace Stewart。 When Grace has to leave early in the season, she writes to some acquaintances, hoping to nurture a friendship with one of them。 She strikes a friendship through correspondence with Ezra, thinking it's Frances, his sister。 A close friendship develops and when Grace mentions a visit to Lord Brown's Christmas house party, Ezra decided he must go and make his feelings known。 I really loved this story! I enjoyed the way Ezra and Grace connected through letters。 Writing letters has become a lost art over time。 But there is something beautiful about writing letters to loved ones and friends! And the anticipation of receiving an answer, it's a lovely feeling。 This book reminded me of how much I enjoyed exchanging letters with my best friends and receiving their responses。 Texting is faster, yes, but letter writing is just so much more personal。 This was such a heartwarming story! Ezra using his sister's identity to strike a friendship with Grace was a challenge for the couple to overcome。 As a shy and introverted person, I really appreciated the personalities of Ezra and Grace。 I deeply understood Grace's feeling of loneliness and her desire to make a connection with someone。 There was an underlying theme of kindness and the difference (and confidence) a friendship can bring in a person。 This was a wonderful Christmas regency romance! The book ends with a teaser for the next book and I can't wait for Lady Augusta's story! I received an advanced copy from the author。 All opinions are my own and I was not required to provide a positive review。 。。。more

SILVER BELLS AND SECRETS by @LauraRollinsThis was a delightful Christmas novella。 Short and sweet!🎄I like Ezra's vibe。 He was a sweet brother and son。 I found it relatable that he got anxious when surrounded by people。 A giddy Ezra was so cute。 I liked how Grace handled the whole situation。 I felt her pain and confusion but she remained amicable。 I wish this was longer, but it wrapped up nicely。 I look forward to the next one。 ⭐⭐⭐⭐Thank you to the author for the complimentary copy。 All opinions SILVER BELLS AND SECRETS by @LauraRollinsThis was a delightful Christmas novella。 Short and sweet!🎄I like Ezra's vibe。 He was a sweet brother and son。 I found it relatable that he got anxious when surrounded by people。 A giddy Ezra was so cute。 I liked how Grace handled the whole situation。 I felt her pain and confusion but she remained amicable。 I wish this was longer, but it wrapped up nicely。 I look forward to the next one。 ⭐⭐⭐⭐Thank you to the author for the complimentary copy。 All opinions expressed are my own。 。。。more

First, I have to say really quick that I love this cover especially for the context of this story。 Now to the story; this was such an adorable and sweet Regency novella set around the Christmas season。 Ezra honestly was THE sweetest。 He is shy and falls in love with Grace through letters he's been secretly writing as his sister。 When he finds out Grace may fall for another man, he shows up at a house party trying to win her over in real life。 It was fun to watch him navigate knowing Grace while First, I have to say really quick that I love this cover especially for the context of this story。 Now to the story; this was such an adorable and sweet Regency novella set around the Christmas season。 Ezra honestly was THE sweetest。 He is shy and falls in love with Grace through letters he's been secretly writing as his sister。 When he finds out Grace may fall for another man, he shows up at a house party trying to win her over in real life。 It was fun to watch him navigate knowing Grace while “not” knowing Grace since they hadn’t officially been introduced before and Grace had no idea that Ezra was her dear letter correspondent。 A cute and unique novella, I highly enjoyed this sweet Regency romance。I received an advance reader copy of this novella。 All thoughts and opinions are my own。 。。。more

What a delightful Christmas romance with a secret identity plot! Ezra though an Earl has a difficult time in society。 He’s shy and often says the wrong thing。 Miss Grace Stewart feels the same way。 When she must leave early during the Season, she writes to the various acquaintances she made including Ezra’s sister Frances hoping one of the young ladies will write her back。 Frances is a snob, to put it mildly, and doesn’t even give the letter a glance, but Ezra reads it and finds a kindred spirit What a delightful Christmas romance with a secret identity plot! He secretly writes back and signs it with his sister’s name。 The two develop a great friendship through letters, but when Grace mentions that she is going to Lord Brown’s Christmas house party with hopeful intentions, Ezra decides he must go as well and make his growing feelings known to his friend。 This story was really enjoyable! I loved the way Ezra and Grace connected。 With Ezra’s secret identity between them though, I was just waiting to find out what Grace’s reaction would be when she finds out the truth。 There are a few twists in the story that threaten to upend all of Ezra’s plans, and it’s not clear until the end how things will get resolved。 I also liked several of the side characters, especially Lady Augusta。 Lady Frances is one of those spoiled mean girls whom you love to see get a set down。 All in all, I really liked this sweet Christmas novella and am looking forward to reading Lady Augusta’s story。 I received an advanced copy from the author。 All opinions are my own and I was not required to provide a positive review。 。。。more

Recently, I was at an author chat where the author brought up the topic of writing letters and the lost art that it now is。 Letters used to take time- both to write and to receive- and then treasured and kept to look back on。 It made me think about the letters I used to write in school- notes back and forth to friends and to my current crush :)。 I kept them in a shoebox to look back on and loved remembering the dreams my friends and I would talk about, as well as, the fanciful way me and a boy I Recently, I was at an author chat where the author brought up the topic of writing letters and the lost art that it now is。 Letters used to take time- both to write and to receive- and then treasured and kept to look back on。 It made me think about the letters I used to write in school- notes back and forth to friends and to my current crush :)。 I kept them in a shoebox to look back on and loved remembering the dreams my friends and I would talk about, as well as, the fanciful way me and a boy I liked flirted :)。 This book reminded me of all of these things。I thought this was such a heart warming story。 Grace and Ezra were a sweet couple。 I enjoy stories where characters get to know each other through letter writing and thought Ezra using his sister as a cover was an intriguing challenge for them。 Watching how they grew to know and care for each other, and then how they reacted once they met in person was also delightful。 There was a theme too I thought of kindness and the difference it makes in others lives, especially in the regency setting, when so much about interaction came down to social standing。 You won't want to miss this lovely holiday regency romance! 。。。more

This was a lovely story。 It was a novella, but I didn’t feel like I missed out on anything。 The main characters were realistic and sweet。 I loved how they were able to interact and find situations to be alone。 I thought the plot was fast paced, but thorough。 At the end it leaves a teaser for the next book and I can’t wait to read it too!

This book sucked me in from the very beginning。 When you write a novella, you have to make every paragraph count, and Laura Rollins did it so masterfully。 She created a foundation of a true relationship, without the need for insta love in a truly unique way。 How can two introverts get to know each other intimately?
